A former Infantry Captain in the United States Army, Mr. Koenig is a member of The Florida Bar, the Hillsborough County Criminal Defense Association and the Hillsborough County Bar Association (Workers' Compensation Section), as well as a former member of The Academy of Florida Civil Trial Lawyers.
Mr. Koenig has lectured several Workers' Compensation seminars as an accredited speaker for continuing education credits, and has been published in the Hillsborough County Bar Association 'Lawyer' Magazine. Mr. Koenig has also worked in the Appellate Division of the Worker's Compensation system and authored various briefs submitted to the First District Court of Appeal. He has worked over the years for the City of Tampa Attorney's Office, The Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Public Defender's Office, and was a partner in the Law Office of Barbas, Koenig, Nunez, Sanders, and Butler P.A. His experience within the areas of administrative law, civil law and criminal law all involve the handling of matters at judicial hearings and jury trials as the legal case allows. His trial work in administrative and criminal law also includes matters of appellate work.
